Is CBD Just Diet Weed?

I heard someone dismiss CBD the other day as 'diet weed'. Have you ever heard someone say that?
I honestly couldn't roll my eyes hard enough in the moment; but really this is just a statement of miseducation.
πŸ™…β€β™€οΈCBD (hemp) is not trying to be THC (cannabis) in any way.
πŸ™…β€β™€οΈIt's not a subpar substitution for weed.
πŸ™…β€β™€οΈCBD isn't something you use when you don't have access to THC.
πŸ™…β€β™€οΈCBD is NOT a less potent version of THC.
FOR SOME, they may get more medicinal benefit from THC than its cousin CBD -- AND THAT"S WONDERFUL. Good for you, truly, I'm so glad you're choosing plant medicine and it's working for you. AND for all the people who prefer THC out there, there's someone who's life has been radically transformed by CBD.
This isn't an either/or thing, I like and use THC and CBD both for different reasons. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
Now, if you're calling D8 diet weed, I'd have to agree with you wholeheartedly. πŸ’―
Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk or whatever quippy statement the kids say these days. πŸ˜†
PS: Facebook, don't flag this post please, I'm so over using code words to TALK ABOUT (LEGAL) PLANTS.
