Will CBD Make Me Fail A Drug Test?

The Answer: Yes and No. It depends on what type of CBD you are consuming!
There are several different types of CBD oil. The first one we'll discuss is "isolated" or "pure" CBD". Isolate CBD Oil is 99+% cannabidiol and is tested to contain absolutely no THC, the component of the cannabis plant that is psychoactive and what drug tests are testing for. The CBD in our Isolate CBD Oil is lab tested by a 3rd party to ensure it contains no residual solvents or THC after production. It is virtually impossible to fail a drug test if you take Isolate CBD Oil.
"Broad Spectrum" CBD Oil is like the middle ground between Isolate and Full Spectrum. Broad Spectrum CBD Oils use a different extraction method that gets rid of the THC- but keeps the rest of the naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes intact. So, broad spectrum oils do produce an "entourage effect", though it's to a lesser degree than Full Spectrum CBD Oil. Broad Spectrum CBD Oil should not produce a failed drug test. However, you always want to make sure the product you are using has 3rd party lab results available that verify it contains no detectable amount of THC in the finished product.
"Full Spectrum" CBD oil is made from the whole hemp plant, and contains all of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes, including a maximum of 0.3% THC. Full Spectrum CBD Oil will produce the most powerful "entourage effect" in your body out of all three types of CBD oil. Most hemp grown for medicinal use is selectively bred to contain high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. There is a chance that using full spectrum could cause one to test positive for THC in a drug test.

The Down Low

If you cannot risk a positive drug screen result due to your occupation, your school, or a myriad of other reasons- choose Isolate CBD Oil or Broad Spectrum CBD Oil.
If a drug test is of no concern to you- opt for Full Spectrum CBD Oil. Full Spectrum is usually the most effective for users, as it is the most "complete". However, everyone is different! This is why we offer sample sizes of our oil so you can determine what type of oil your body responds best to.
