This is an elevated, extra strong elderberry syrup essentially. Firstly, I infused the fresh elderberries I handpicked here in Michigan with organic apple cider vinegar for over a month. I strained those berries out added them with cloves, cinnamon, echinacea, ginger and orange peels and a few more dried elderberries I had for good measure. This cooked down and I strained and added local honey and mixed the ACV/Elderberry to the syrup mix in equal parts.
The finished product is a probiotic rich, living, extra concentrated syrup that is shelf stable (but you should refrigerate to extend the shelf life!). Take a dropper everyday and 5-6 droppers daily when you're sick or have been exposed to illness to keep your immune system strong!
