Why is Magnesium so important?

It is said that 80% of today's population is deficient in this vital mineral.  This is largely due to depleted soils and food sources that make up the modern diet. Our bodies require magnesium for over 300 important processes and transdermal application of magnesium is one of the easiest ways to get the required daily allowance.     I get horrible leg cramps and restless legs at night. This calms them down immediately and I'm able to sleep! Sometimes I forget to use it and will toss and turn for an hour. Then I put it on and I'm out. Literally saving my life with better sleep!
