Product Details

Frankincense Tears are pieces of natural oleo-gum resin from Boswellia trees. When the bark of the tree is cut or injured, the resin seeps out as a liquid and hardens when exposed to air, forming small golden, amber, or pale globular pieces often called “tears.”

Frankincense has been valued since ancient times and was used by upper-class Egyptians for aromatic purposes. Today, it is still commonly burned as incense and used in traditional aromatic blends, resin crafts, and botanical collections.

This resin does not burn like a stick or cone incense on its own. Frankincense tears need an outside heat source, such as incense charcoal or a resin burner, to release their warm, resinous aroma.
