HEMP BAN UPDATE

Hemp Ban Update: The Best News We've Had Yet!

June 25th 2026 Update

For the first time since the federal hemp ban was signed into law last November, we have some genuinely encouraging news to share.

Is the fight over?

No.

Is the hemp ban repealed?

Also no.

But this is the most hopeful development we've seen in months.

What Happened?

The White House has officially called on Congress to fix the upcoming hemp ban before it takes effect later this year.

Specifically, the Administration is urging Congress to make sure Americans continue to have fair access to hemp-derived CBD products while creating stronger safeguards for products that pose legitimate safety concerns. That's a big change in tone.

For months, much of the conversation focused on banning hemp products altogether. Now, we're seeing federal leaders acknowledge something we've been saying all along:

There is a better solution than prohibition.

This Is What We've Been Fighting For

Since the beginning, we've never argued against regulation.

In fact, the responsible hemp industry has repeatedly supported common-sense measures like:

  • Age restrictions
  • Third-party laboratory testing
  • Clear labeling
  • Child-resistant packaging
  • Manufacturing standards

Protecting consumers, protecting children and holding bad actors accountable. Those goals should unite everyone.

What we've opposed is a law that also threatens responsible farms, small businesses, and the full-spectrum CBD products that millions of Americans rely on every day.

Why This Matters

The current law, scheduled to take effect in November 2026, would redefine legal hemp and impose restrictions that many believe would make virtually all of today's full-spectrum hemp products illegal.

That includes products used by:

  • seniors looking for everyday wellness support
  • veterans
  • parents
  • pet owners
  • and countless people who have found relief through responsibly made hemp products

The White House is now publicly asking Congress to prevent that broad recriminalization and instead create a fair regulatory framework. That's something worth paying attention to.

So... Is the Hemp Ban Gone?

Not yet.

The law has not been repealed.

Nothing has changed for consumers today. We're still operating exactly as we have been, and it's business as usual here at Humble. Congress still has work to do. But after months of hearing "no," this is the first time we've seen meaningful momentum moving in the other direction.

What Happens Next?

Lawmakers could:

  • amend the existing law,
  • delay implementation,
  • or replace broad prohibition with a sensible regulatory framework.

None of those outcomes are guaranteed but for the first time in a long time, they feel like real possibilities rather than wishful thinking.

What You Can Do

Your voice still matters. If you've already contacted your representatives... thank you!!!!

If you haven't yet, now is one of the most important times to do it. The White House has made its position known. Congress needs to hear from the people who actually use, grow, manufacture, and depend on hemp products every day.

It takes less than a minute, and every message is counted.

Our Perspective

We've tried to keep these updates balanced from the beginning. We don't believe in fear-mongering, but we also don't believe in pretending everything is fine when it isn't.

Today, we're choosing cautious optimism.

There is still work to do and there are still challenges ahead. But after months of bad news and legislative setbacks, this feels like the first real indication that leaders in Washington recognize there is a better path forward. We'll continue following every development closely and keep you updated as things unfold.

As always, thank you for standing with our family, our farm, and the entire hemp community.

We're not done fighting, and for the first time in a while, we're feeling more hopeful than we have in months <3
