Product Details
Organic Sheep Sorrel Powder is a finely ground bulk herb with a naturally sharp, sour taste. Botanically known as Rumex acetosella, sheep sorrel is a wild-growing plant that is much smaller than French or garden sorrel and is often tinged with a deep red hue. It is also commonly called sour-grass because of its tart, tangy flavor.
Sheep sorrel has a long history of use in traditional herbal preparations and is especially known as one of the herbs used in Essiac-style tea blends. In powdered form, it can be used in custom herbal blends, tea preparations, capsules, DIY recipes, and home apothecary projects.

How to Prepare as Tea:
Use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of sheep sorrel powder per 8 oz of hot water. Stir well, cover, and steep for 5–10 minutes. Powdered herbs do not fully dissolve, so sediment at the bottom of the cup is normal. Strain if desired.
Blending Tip:
Sheep sorrel has a naturally tart, sour flavor, so it is often blended with other herbs rather than used on its own. It pairs well with earthy, rooty, or mildly sweet herbs depending on the style of blend you are making.
