CBD Side Effects: Side effects from CBD are fairly rare, most people tolerate CBD well. The following side effects can sometimes be attributed to taking too much CBD. We always recommend starting out with a low dose and slowly working your way up to the ideal dose for your individual body. The most common side effect of CBD use is a headache. Oftentimes this can be mitigated by increasing your water intake when introducing CBD into your system.
Other potential side effects include:
- Drowsiness
- Nausea
- Dry mouth
- Diarrhea
Medication Interactions: Please ask your doctor about any potential medication interactions. If you take a prescription that warns you against having any grapefruit, that warning applies to CBD as well, as both affect the medication similarly.
- a common blood thinner, warfarin
- a heart rhythm medication, amiodarone
- a thyroid medication, levothyroxine
- several medications for seizure, including clobazam, lamotrigine, and valproate
